HamroBhumi

About HamroBhumi

We're not a listing site. We're Nepal's property-trust infrastructure.

Anyone can post a plot of land online. The hard part — the part that costs Nepali families their savings — is knowing whether the Lalpurja is real, the owner is who they say they are, and the land isn't already sold twice over. HamroBhumi exists to answer that question before money changes hands.

Our mission

Turn property trust from a gamble into infrastructure.

In Nepal, buying land is one of the biggest decisions a family makes — and one of the riskiest. Fraudulent Lalpurja, duplicate sales, undisclosed disputes and absentee owners are not edge cases; they are the norm buyers quietly fear. The market runs on whispered references and gut feeling.

We're replacing that with something durable: a verification layer that any buyer, seller, bank or NRN can rely on. Listings are just the surface. Underneath, we operate the checks, the field visits and the trust scoring that make a transaction safe. That layer is the product — and it compounds with every property we verify.

The moat

A 5-level verification moat no clone can copy.

Anyone can build a search box. Nobody can copy a trust graph built one verified deal at a time. Every property we check feeds the next, and our field network across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Chitwan and Pokhara is physical infrastructure — not code.

Our story

It started with a deal that almost went wrong.

HamroBhumi began when one of our founders nearly bought a plot in the Kathmandu valley that, on paper, looked perfect. A relative's last-minute check at the malpot office revealed the same Lalpurja had been pledged against a loan and quietly resold. The deal collapsed — but the savings were saved.

That near-miss raised an obvious question: why does safety in Nepali real estate depend on having the right relative at the right office on the right day? For the NRN diaspora — in Australia, the Gulf, the US and the UK — it's often impossible.

So we built the thing that should already exist: a standardized, repeatable verification process backed by a real field team, and a single trust score that means the same thing on every listing. Today that engine powers verified buying, financing and remote NRN purchases across Nepal.

What we stand for

Our values

Trust is the product

We will never publish a number we can't defend. A trust score is a promise, not marketing.

People over portals

Software scores the data, but a real person in Lalitpur or Pokhara walks the land and signs the report.

Built for the diaspora

An NRN in Sydney or Doha deserves the same clarity as a buyer standing on the plot in Chitwan.

Transparent by default

Every verification step, fee and finding is on the record — no hidden middlemen, no surprises.

The people behind it
